Any 4.2 Gas Gauge Problems?
My 4.2's gas gauge has had a couple of hiccups where the tank is half full but shows empty, or is nearly empty but shows full. The dealer tests show no problem. The 4.2 comes with the MY 2000 senders which were designed to solve this problem on earlier A6s.
Any other 4.2s with flakey gas gauges? If so, what's been done?

I have a 00 4.2.
Mine always shows full or almost full no matter how much I use. Not good. Also, my little picture of the gas pump sometimes goes off when I start the car even though the car is full.
They ordered three senders at Bernardi Audi a few weeks ago. No call yet. I hear that they need to get some new version. Who knows?
I had the same type of problem on my 95 A6.
