Default Sport Seats vs the regular seats and colors

I have a 98 A6 2.8 and will neeed to replace it when the lease is up in December. I sat in the sport seats and they seemed softer and more comfortable than the regular seats. However, posters on the A4 board say the sport seats are not that comfortable because there is a bar in their back( I know the lumbar can be adjusted) One guy says this doesn't help. It took me about six months to get used to my seats.

Colors. Have Dark Blue now and haven't seen anything I like better. Would like to look at CAshmere Grey. If anyone has one inthe SF bay area maybe we could meet? Dealers don'r order that color usually. Someone mentioned a new Blue. This color is not yet on the Audi Webb site.I saw a maroon on an S$ that looked great but when I looked at some A6's a few years old they didn't look as good. I wonder if they changed the color.

HELP!

Default My vote would be for the sport seats.

The lateral support is far superior to the non-sport seats, and I have found the lumbar support feature to be excellent. The fact it can be adjusted vertically is great. My experience with the leather is that it's not as soft as my brothers 00 2.8 non-sport.

Default Sports Seats, 4.2

These seats are firm and comfortable.
The extended lower seat cushion provides
excellent support behind the knee.

If you happen to be a wider model you might have some problems with the latteral supports (mid-back).

At first, I could feel the latteral bolsters, 1,600 miles later not an issue.

Loud vote FOR the sport seats- because of their superior support laterally and their firmness. Indeed. the adjustable lumbar is wonderful. IMO this is a no brainer.

Default firmness, lumbar support

The normal seats are as firm as the sport seats, and they have the same lumbar support. 12-way seats, whether or not you get the sport seats.

I is really a matter of the size of the bolsters.

Default Ditto!

In addition to these personal testimonials, these seats have been described in some of the car mags as "best on the market".

Default I like my Sport Seats

I just finished driving ~3,000 mi on vacation (Boston to Hilton Head, SC and back), and I love the sport seats. The lumbar is excellent. Lots of lateral support. And I think the firmness actually helps on long drives.

Also, I'm a little over 6' and 220 lb, and they're remarkably comfy for someone my size. The first couple of days, the size bolsters pinched a little bit, but then they conformed quite nicely.
