Flushing the windshield washer reservoir and smelly factory fluid. What is 20/10?
Thanks to all you guys that posted help on this subject, especially Dick. I found that to flush the factory fluid and the smell with it, the easiest way was to grab hold of the pump for the washer jets and pull this out. With the reservoir open all the liquid came right out and I was able to flush it with a garden hose. I then refilled it with regular windshield washer fluid, and used windex to clean the windshield (though not very well). No more smell and most of the streaking is gone. I imagine there is still some residue on the windshield, hence still some streaking. I am very happy to get rid of the stink though with such an easy job. Thanks again and specifically, what is 20/10?

20/10 is a windshield washer fluid.....
available in concentrate or in ready-to-use form. It is very popular here in the Pacific Northwest where it originates from. However, I am not quite sure how far across the country it has moved. I'm not even real sure it is still made here or not. If I were at home, and not at my office I could walk to my garage and tell you. It is very good. Still has some smell, but it is short lived and not too bad. It also is "winterized" down to -10 degrees in ready-to-use form. If you need lower, use the concentrate

Thanks Stu B. I have never seen this in the NY-NJ area. Is it much better than regular windshield washer liquid? I find the regular blue stuff sold everywhere adequate. It also withstands freezing temps but I don't know how low.
