My New A6 2.7T Is Out Of Commission!
So I drive to my local dry cleaners just a few minutes away from home. When I get back in the car and turn on the ignition, I get the warning signal with a yellow symbol telling me something is amiss. When I gather my wits and look in the owner's manual to see what the symbol is, I find out it is the "dimmer control for the headlights" which seem to have a problem. "No big deal" I think until I then notice that the "brake" light is constantly flashing followed minutes later by the "check engine" symbol which leads me then to notice that the speedometer, odometer as well as the temperature gauge are not functioning at all!
This is a 6-speed manual transmission loaded with all the options you can think of....it is my "mechanical" baby. It just turned 1,800 miles so hopefully this is a simple electrical fix that won't be repeated once it is repaired. Any other A6 owners experienced this same kind of phenom?
