Pinging in A64.2
Dealer unable to giagnose recurrent pinging.This started around 8K and now w/ 13K it continues. I am unable to search archives and wonder if anyone has encountered this problem. The tech guys talked about Fluff on valve springs and ran a cleaner thru one tank of fuel. This appeared to yield a somewhat subjective improvement. I run Chevron/Texaco fuel and the tech guys at the dealership have been less than enthusiastic at my suggestion to use octane boost or the like.
It does seem like I have lost some power, But this is very hard to judge.

I don't know where you are located but I would try higher octane, 93 or 94, which is readily available in the NY-NJ area. My 4.2 is chipped and I have never had any problem running mostly Citgo 93 octane. LOL.
