Per Audi Tech Bulletin -
Subject: Xenon Headlight Adjustment
Before adjusting headlights on vehicles equipped with xenon headlamps, it is critical that you initialize basic settings in group "04", then go to channel "001", and wait until display changes to "set". This will take approximately one minute. Then perform mechanical adjustments and finally set adaptation "002" until value has been learned.Pleases refer to the latest repair information in AESIS group 01, on board diagnostics and technical bulletin 94-98-01.

My 2000 4.2 has a phillips screw on each headlight. Someone on this board posted it. Piece of cake
to adjust. I did it. Now my low beams are outstanding and no one has flashed their headlights at me.
