Now I know why very few comments like Stoneys come from the UK participants. . .
(Stoney had posted below about relatively poor dealer experience)
HERE is an Audi Dealer for ya. Dealer Provides:
Complimentary pick-up and delivery of vehicle for service
Complimentary courtesy cars
Complimentary use of Health Club while your car is being serviced. (hopefully not often enough for you to get into shape at the dealer)
Complimentary parts delivery
Complimentary vehicle history check (Audi)
Free Membership to the Audi Driver Club of Lancaster (UK). Discounts at stores/restaurants.
Naturally there are several differences in pricing, warranty, and margin which preclude this from happening in here (in the U.S. anyway).
Other miscellaneous stuff:
On the way home a 740i owner flagged me at a stop light. His 740i is coming off lease at the end of this month and he purchased an Audi (not sure which model). He was asking about my winter wheel/tire setup and where to get it. This is not a good sign for Bangle man.

I am planning on getting rid of my 2.7T in the next two months. Spent some time at the dealer doing research and checking to see what if any cars caught my eye. Momentarily thought about the TT roadster and then a cold breeze knocked me back to reality. As an aside, I cannot figure out why Audi came out with a special edition TT which appears to be nothing special. I'm not degrading the TT, I just don't understand this "Park Avenue" stick on emblem special edition type b.s.. Throw something tangible into the mix like ahhh, performance enhancements.
The TT forum folks will probably disagree. I have gone over there to see the reaction.

My dealer, even with sagging sales still has that wonderfully arrogant atmosphere (tongue in cheek). At least hand out a business card or something. A friend who also has a 2.7T just traded his for a fully loaded A4 3.0. $41k plus baby. He wanted to rid himself of the turbo as it eclipsed the warranty period.
Oh, back to the dealer in the U.K.. Here is the link. Finman, you need the multimedia system fer sure. Get some!

http://www.lancasterplc.com/portal_frameset_audi_v3.htm</a

I've never been known to keep a vehicle for more than 2-3 years and NEVER hit the "max" with mileage. However I'm fond of the AR and wouldn't be opposed of hanging on to it since I bought the first year edition...
Thanks in advance to (everyone's) advice on Audi's with turbos and "old age"! 8-)
The reference to turbo's was a general one as well. Simply because all turbocharged engines are expensive to fix if something does go wrong. I should have clarified that. I would have no problem keeping my car beyond the factory warranty and expect no unusual problems with the turbos.
My choice to get rid of the 2.7T is not related to any of the above.
