Default 2002 v 2003, again

There was a debate over this topic. I have to admit that I am a novice but I still think that one should siriously think about the 2003 instead of 2002 model. My logic is that we probably only know/notice the major changes but surely the guys at Audi constantly fix bugs and improve hidden details. For example I have no problem with my suspension (A6q 3.0) which was reported to be "floaty" in previous models. (They might changed it in the new model.) Also the front brakes are wented (looks to me). Who knows what else has been changed.....

2003 2.7 T not available with radio controls (multi-function steering wheel), also the tip switches are delited. I like the looks of the sport steering wheel, but would rather have multi-function. I wonder what Audi is thinking?

Default I think they're trying to maintain sales in a downward market. So they might...

be deleting items they feel are of low demand, consolidating/reducing several packages to reduce manufacturing costs (?), thereby maintaining or only slightly increasing overall prices.

I can tell you that not having the Tip buttons on the steering wheel or a substitute (paddles) is a definite negative step. I really find it rather clumsy to use the Tip stick...it is so much more natural to use the Tip buttons. And if only they would improve the shift speed...(wouldn't have to install a Tip chip and void warranty).

So, much though I hate the notchy shifting Audi manual shifter, I would put more emphasis on it or the multitronic (and of course Audi managed to diminish its attractiveness by delaying its introduction on quattro equipped cars...)when buying another Audi A6. Audi sells more cars with quattro than without in the US. They should have accelerated development in my view. I have read excellent reviews of multitronic.

Default i agree; there are definitely are some updates to the suspension

when i first got my late 2001 2.7 non-sport, i notice my car ride a lot higher than all with huge gap between the wheel and the fender. the suspension is very floaty and couldn't believe I was driving a german car; but all is good because that was my plan anyways because I was going to upgrade the suspension myself; even the sport version is a bit soft for me.
