I brought my curb damaged bumper into the dealer over 3 1/2 weeks ago for the LQ Recall. The damage is pretty severe and the dealer told me that they had to get approval from Audi before they could proceed. They also told me to get an estimate from their autobody shop so they could fax it to Audi.

I called AOA a few days later to see what was going on since the dealer was not getting back to me and I opened a service ticket. Audi told me that the dealer was going through the proper channels and I should wait indefinately for the approval. I called again last week and was told that the dealer would call me back on Friday with an answer. They told me that my car being lowered was the issue that was holding up the approval. I quickly pointed out that the eibach springs were purchased through the Audi catalog at the dealer and installed by them, as my 2000 2.7T came with the original sport package that did not include suspension.

I finally got the call today from the dealer that they have the approval and will be ordering my new bumper cover this week! Just goes to show that persistance pays off!
