RS 6 battery location for US cars

If I understand right, US RS 6s will have a spare wheel, but have to live with the battery being mounted in a box in the trunk. Over here in Britain, we have the battery in the spare wheel well along with a compressor and a bottle of tyre-weld.

For some reason, Audi also include a jack and wrench...

The battery is 110Ah and probably helps slightly with weight distribution being that low down.

And I don't know if quattro Gmbh or my dealer use (and lose) Snap-on tools, but I found these sitting in the bottom of the wheel well. What's the betting I've got an "Oktoberfest hangover special"...

I wonder why Audi didn't put the battery under the rear seat (ala '80's 5000)
