LH (US Driver's Side) Windshield Wiper Replacement
Want to replace the driver's side windshield wiper on my '99 A6. All I see in the stores are replacement blades - the metal holder and the rubber insert. That's OK. They're Bosch and they're black. Doesn't look like the rubber insert can be removed from the metal anyway.
But the new blade does not have the bracket on it to attach the nifty Audi windfoil on the driver's side. The new Bosch blade looks like a direct replacement for the passenger side because that side doesn't have the windfoil. Is the driver's side a dealer only part?

Just replace the rubber, keep the metal strips. More...
I've bough Bosch refills from Pep-Boys before and they were old and skipped. I ended up ordering SWF German OEM refills from thepartsbin.com (call them), and they work great. They came with no metal strips, so keep those.
