Default Valentine 1 Mounting Saga Continues

Thought someone might get a kick out of this...

Since I was determined to find a 12v switched wire in the sunroof area (to avoid running from the fusebox or the homelink visor) I tested out every wire I could find and ...

Pin #2 on the Sunroof Connector lit up with 12v with the key in, 0 once the door was opened!

So, thinking I was 'all set' I wired everything up, turned on the V1, and

The sunroof closed.

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/5503/img_0015.jpg"></center><p>Here is a pic. Use fuse #27, as it is switched. use the standard flat V1 cord, and tuck it down the headliner and A-pillar.

use the 2 into one fuse holder like this one to get a hot wire. I got mine at pepboys. there are a couple of 8mm bolts near the fuse panel that are good grounds

Default Done! (m)

I finally gave in and wired it as you suggested &lt;g&gt;. Only difference is, I just plugged the spade connector into the fuse area vs. buying the dual-adapter. I had to strip the plastic housing away from the connector, but it fits just fine. I used the following as a guide:
http://php.indiana.edu/~chihuang/vw/radar/v1.htm

The wire is very well hidden except for two areas along the a-pillar where I can't get the wire to tuck all the way behind the trim panel - any suggestions?

I sed a fat screwdriver to tuck it in tight - but it still shows a little

Default a credit card works well, right thickness & won't cut into headliner, etc.

That pushed the wire in mine so that none is visible.

Default I wonder if I went the wrong way..

I went across the headliner, down the A pillar between the trim and the windshield, behind the dash, and into the fusebox.

Was there another alternative?
