Audi auto glass compatibility with Navman GPS 3450??
CR Magazine wrote up a favorable review of the Navman GPS 3450 in the June issue, citing it as a capable portable GPS system when mated with an HP
IPAQ PDA. Several other on-line reviews also indicated favorable findings.
I downloaded the .pdf user's manual from the Navman.com website. I was surprised to find
a note that all Audi models from MY 01 onwards
have athermic heat reflecting windshields, which may interfere with the Navman antenna, requiring the use of an external antenna.
My A6 Avant is a MY 00, but I was unaware of any changes to the windshield coating into MY 01 models, or whether MY 00 already has such a coating. Anyone out there know anything about this, or anyone successfully using a Navman in
MY 00 cars and up, without the external antenna?

Yes, that what the manual say's. Supposedly, the glass assists...
the signal in reaching the unit's antenna. Good to hear, however, it works in your O1-thanks.
