May be in the market for black 2000 A6 2.7T

Also, what major problems would one run into with a higher mileage A6 2.7t? esp. if i was planning on going modified? I dunno, maybe bigger exhaust, chip obviously, minor suspension tweaks and some wheels this gonna be a good lookin' baby! Also is the DIY clearcorner possible on these lights?
How bout some major large mods you A6 drivers do to your cars? BTW, is theweight difference/gas mileage on a 2.7t vs. 1.8t like a lot? I get 24-26 pretty much all the time in my 1.8t, thx guys.
The early 2000 2.7Ts are often thought to be a bit more problematic (just like the S4s), but it's also luck of the draw and how well it's been taken care of by the previous owner. Many here have been trouble-free.
Yes, clear corners are possible.
Yes, there was a sport package. In early MY2000 builds it was more aggressive seats and different 16" wheels only. Tires too, but those would have been long swapped by now. In mid-late MY2000 they added springs, struts and a thicker rear bar to the sport package. The springs drop about .75" -- who cares about the struts because if they're still OEM they're due to be changed anyway. Other than the seats the other items are easily changed.
Are you looking for a 6 speed or a Tip? FYI, 6 speeds are rare in this car: probably a bit less than 10%. And manuals with the sport package are maybe half of that.
Mileage won't be as good as what you're seeing. Real world is probably 21-23 freeway, and 16-18 city depending on how heavy your foot is.
Personally, if you can swing it, I'd suggest looking for an '01 (or later).
- You MIGHT get a better build.
- Depending on in-service date you might have a couple of months left of warranty (not counting CPO) in case something's wrong. '01s have 4 years instead of 3 in '00. Of course, if you're looking at high mileage cars because they're cheaper, it'll be out of warranty anyway.
- Better equipped. Starting in '01, you get Immobilizer and ESP.
I think all the other stuff is the same between '00 and '01, including seat memory, etc. The options were packaged differently, but it's all there one way or another.
Finally, check out this link. Should have pretty much everything else you need to know.

If you can find a 2002, Audi reduced the size of the brake caliper up front, and your wheel choices increase significantly. 2000 and 2001have the HP2 brake caliper up front, which limits your choice for wheels.
I've enjoyed the ride, but maybe time to move along. I am getting older and slower!!!
I have new front rotors for the stock brakes, stock exhaust, stock sways, stock springs, stock everything,
Can revert back to original condition and then piece meal the parts.
Plus has 2 years left on warranty also a spare tranny and new K03's in box.
