My next mod

Very good mod....only one issue with doing it.......
I have done this on my A6 sedan, your license plate may not fit properly, you will have to redrill the holes and have to do some lite grinding on the top and bottom of your plate to make it fit. While your at it, do the dual rear fog conversion. This what ours looks like installed.

be sure and sand the plate down.... I use the original 2 mounting points on my A4's (both avant and sedan) a lil jiffie with the drill and a ruler and its all good to go.

just did mine last week (pix to follow). Sedan and Avant parts are completely different.
I had to dremel out the four square holes for the US plate..then insert the license plate screw holders ($3 at local NAPA auto parts place). I also had to dremel out a 1 1/2" hole for the second foglight.
Overall, I'm happy with the install. I have upgraded from the US carbon-looking bracket...to the Euro 2002+ (non-carbon looking) bracket with a flat black look to it.
I had a buddy bring two of these units over from Germany for me. The part was not available from Audi parts in the USA. The cost was $130. FYI - The other unit was sold to a local Boston A6 Avant owner...who happens to be parting out his car and selling it. So I bet it is for sale. This bracket would be a great upgrade to someone (a snowboarder?) who has a S6 Avant that would like to make his car look more Euro....hint...hint.
