Emissions warranty on the 2.7t
I have a 2001 2.7t (bought it new) with 52,000 miles, so it's just out of warranty. I had the MAF sensor go bad so I took the car to the dealer and had it replaced, thinking that the repair would be covered under the emissions warranty (70,000 miles). The service rep said that for reasons that he doesn't understand, the 2.7t engine MAF sensor is not covered, even though air sensors are normally covered by the emissions warranty. Does anyone know any details about why or how Audi claims that the MAF sensor on the 2.7t is not part of the emissions system.
I have had the MAF sensor replaced 2 times in 50,000 miles so I think it must be a common problem.

best is to look in your books in the dash..
evey car comes with the EPA warranty and lists the parts that are covered.
The MAF is part of the intake and the O2 sensors are exhaust. The ECU controls both intake and exhaust so its part of the EPA..etc.
