Coins jamming up ashtray saga continued...
So I tried the suggested paper clip methods and so forth, but to no avail. I ended up using the "firm yet gental" drawer removal, and it worked. No loud pops, or breaking sounds, so I think it was a clean-out. I was able to get the coin out from under the lighter without disconnecting the wiring, so that was nice. Here's where it goes lame... I put the drawer back in, and now it doesn't stay closed! Did I break something and not know it, or am I not reinstalling it properly?
Some people followed-up on my previous thread that getting it back in was the tough part, but they didn't really elaborate on why. Has anyone had any luck reinstalling it without removing the radio? (per Boston Driver's steering wheel install)

the ashtray is for teh ash mmmmkay!
put the coins in the storage under the memory seat buttons... mine's loaded with change... only problem is that my hands are too fat to fit in that little crevice... ok so i guess that's a bad idea too...damn!

um, there is a trick to it.........................
did you get the roller spring reattached properly
if so, you will need to pull it back out, and gently feed it back in, it takes some "colorful" language, some gentle persuasion, and some patience. It took me over an hour to get the darn thing in there properly.
