Anybody have a torque converter for the 2.7t with a higher stall?

Default Anybody have a torque converter for the 2.7t with a higher stall?
I love this car but it's standing start bugs the hell out of me.

Default I don't believe a high stall speed TC will work. The TCU won't allow it...
The A6 will never be quick off the line. That said, an upgraded TC does make a difference. The L10 TC in my car slips less and engages more quickly. It makes a noticable difference.

Of course, more power is going to get you off the line faster too. It all comes down to - how much do you want to spend?

The stall speed is the mechanical design of the converter. The TCU can't do anthing about it.

Default The lag on starting off is as much the electronic throttle as anything else.
Check with the original S4 forum. They toyed around with stall speeds, etc.

Default Right. But the TCU does monitor input and output...
A higher stall speed will mean that the TCU sees a different ratio of input and output then its used to/hard coded into operating parameters.

what stall speed did you request I forget? 2300 or 2600??

Mine is set at the stock stall speed - 2,000
