Phatbox won't fit in CD changer space!!
UPS delivered my phatbox today, and I immediately un-wrapped it and took it out to my car and tried to slide it into the CD changer slot in my trunk it wouldn't fit…
The phatbox would slide in about 3 inches and then it would get stuck, if I really wiggled and pushed I could get it about three fourths of the way in. It looks like its getting stuck on the raised bolt holes on the sides of the cd changer bracket.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I can only think of two solutions, the first being to shave down the sides of the metal phatbox frames until it fits, or the second idea is to shave down the raised bolt holes.
Also how big of an ordeal is it to install a cd changer cable from my symphony head unit to the trunk as I seem to be the only 2001 A6 owner who doesn‼sup>TM</sup>t have a stock cable run in the trunk. (or at least I don‼sup>TM</sup>t have one that I can easily see).

A rubber hammer will do it...
and will eventually get it in. As for the cable, sometimes it is tucked in behind the mounting bracket really well and may have some foam protection on it. Thus making it harder to locate.

Face the same problem during my installation. what I did was to slowly tap it in (try to tap on both size so that the phatbox remain straght)until it reach the desire position. Since it is so damn tight, there is actually no need to given put in those screws.
