Need help finding a gremlin. I have a creaking noise coming from my B pillar

seems to be right around the seatbelt adjuster, but I can't seem to narrow it down. If I get on and off of the gas I can duplicate the noise.

Do you have the OEM phone setup in the car (little square speaker below the seatbelt adjuster)...

I have heard a few things about the RS6 models having issues with static coming from the speaker, and varies with speed.

Other than that, the only thing I can think of is the seatbelt adjuster itself. Have you tried moving it to a higher/lower position to see if it still makes the creak?

Maybe some lube for the gaskets around the doors might help as well.

Hope you find it...nothing more annoying than a mystery noise...

Nope, no OEM phone. I did try moving the seatbelt around didn't make a difference,

If I am cruising at say 40 MPH and let off of the gas it will creak. If I get back on and then back off of the gas it'll creak again.

I thought I read something on AW about the Exterior black B-Pillar cover making this noise, but I couldn't find anything on the search.

I may just end up taking off the interior panel and seeing if I can isolate it.

Maybe try to treat the door gasket near the B-pillar?

Yea that's not a bad idea. When I have time i'm going to dig into it more. Just wanted to see

if I was the lucky one, or if someone else had something similar :-D

Rear door seals and sunroof are the worst offenders....

I chased the same creaking noise for a year!!!! Mine was not in the B Pillar but

the latch assembly in the door which bolts to the door. There are two large black bolts on the endge of the door, I think they are a number 8 hex bit that hold the latch assembly to the door. Try loosening them a bit. I had to actually put some of the fuzzy side of velcro down where the plastic latch assembly meets the door to act as a buffer between the plastic housing creaking against the metal. Hard to explain. I can snap some pics if need be.
