Reset Service INSP light??

guys how do I take out the service INSP light on my 1999 Audi A6 2.8 quattro?

it has been on for like almost a year but the car got inspected...i suspect the mechanic just did not reset the clock from what I understand you can do this manually but im not sure how
can someone help me?

I can't remember the proceedure, but it is listed in your manual

you hold the right button down, turn the key on, then hit the left button... or reverse?

so i would either hold down the button that resets my km's turn key on and push down the clock buton

ok so i tried doing what u guys told me...its still there :( i think im doing somethin wrong

i looked in manual i cant find anything about the service insp..

I just did this with my car. its on page 82 in my manual. with the ignition off push in and hold the right button, then as you hold it trun the key to the on position (you don't have to start the car) then pull out the left button and service OIL may appear. now let go of the right button and it should clear and show service ---. do the same again for when it shows service INSP. see if that works.
