I STFA...I got a whine!

While driving and coasting I have a loud whine/whoosh....Sounds almost like a turbine. Its not the dentist drill sound, its air. It stops or gets quiet when stopped, and can't determine if its louder when revved. Secondary air injection? If the pump goes bad, wouldn't the noise stop? I just had the rear diff pinion seal replaced and its shut tight now, and no leaks up front, and no smoke....Its a constant whine, no fluctuation in pitch.

could be the aux air pump in the airbox. Its an emissions thing

doubt it is secondary air injection, that only runs for 1 or 2 minutes after the

car is started from a cold start - not when hot.

I have an aftermarket Evoms V-flow intake, but

I put the OEM airbox back on for a week, and it didn't change the noise....

No thank god! I couldn't waste my life looking for a whine from my damn car! :)

I did a pressure test today......SOB popped off twice! Scared the **** out of me! I forgot to clean off the tiny bit of oil around the seal of the intake....BOOM!
