Default Calling blue tooth experts

Just got my treo 650 with blue tooth. What are my options that are not treo specific for my car?

Default I have an excellent option

Essentially you hook up a Sony HCB-30 kit like this (has to be a 98 or newer):

Then your phone will work hands free over the HCB-30 kit.

If you want to add a cradle to dock your phone in it, purchase it, then hack a power supply and hard wire it in....and add an external antenna (or use an existing one) for reception while it is in the cradle.

I can make you a really nice kit if you'd like, I've done it on D3 A8's.

Default Re: I have an excellent option

I would be very interested..... I have a mount option maybe. I bought a pro clip for my A8 but the mount plate is for tre600 and now I have a 650. Probably have to give them a bit of time to release 650 mount but the bracket will be the same. Do you think the sony kit will work with my treo? If so I am definately interested. I have a 99 A8 w/ all options but park assist (if that was an option)

Here is my mount

Here is the piece I will not be able to use

Default about 100 kits out there

There are a ton of kits our there, for me the parrot CK-3100 was the best fit, it has the most features that I would use and it has an LCD readout for phone numbers. Motorola has a kit that allows you to hook up your phone and bluetooth MP3 player to it which is kind of nice

bschaeber -make sure Treo 650 works with your kit. Lots of new cars with built in BT are not working with the 650.
check www.treocentral.com

The parrot system looks real nice for aftermarket since it has a full display and control.
Any issues with configuring it to the A8? I assume it hooks up much like the diagram that PaulW posted.

PaulW, I have the original cradle and a secondary cradle that was there from the old owner. Would I use any of this? or would I just install the Bluetooth brain in the trunk to replace the old phone brain?

Default Yes, would be interested to know where you got it and how much

Last time I looked, they were almost exclusive to the UK.

Thanks!
