Pro-Fit Cellular Holder and Motorola Hands Free Kit

Anyone have this kit installed in their Audi? I am getting this installed in my car along with Motorola's V60 hands-free kit. Total Price $170 ($140 for kit and $30 for pro-fit adapter) through Verizon. The kit includes its own mic and speaker along with a custom holder for the V60 which mounts on the pro-fit kit. I just can't wait for the Audi wiring in "early 2002" according to the new acc. catalog.

Re: Pro-Fit Cellular Holder and Motorola Hands Free Kit
I just ordered one of these mounts for my 4.2. I have not received it yet but I will post when I do. It was only $75 and came out of Texas. It's a German mount with real leather. The factory Audi mount that is shown in their accessory catalog was not everything that I hoped for. The phone I am using is a Motorola V60 integrated throughout the factory phone interface. It works very well and I am very happy with it.
If anyone is interested in this mount, this is the way to get a hold of their representative in Texas:

CCM Cellular Kit. No installation required: Just plug Cellular Holder into cig lighter outlet
No brackets or installation required. Allows conversation thru' stereo speakers or built in speaker. About C$140 in Toronto (probably US$90 or cheaper as you go further south).

Re: Pro-Fit Cellular Holder and Motorola Hands Free Kit
I had one of these kits installed on my new A6 a few weeks ago and it works great. I had the handsfree kit mounted on a pedestal in my 98 A6 but this mount works and looks a lot better and doesn't bump into passenger knees. I had to have the installer shim the mount to get the right angle so that I could read the display so you may want to check that out with your installer.

Re: How did you integrate your V60 through the factory phone interface? Is there an adapter?
I used an article found in the A4 Tech section. With the help from this article I was able to get everything installed in my A6. I used the power, ground, radio mute and factory installed Speaker via the factory phone adapter found in the back of the vehicle. The only thing I did not use was the factory installed microphone. The Motorola one was much simpler to use. Good luck!

https://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec12.shtml</a

I have had the website saved in my favorites for some time. I don't remember exactly how I found it, but I think I typed in cellular-phone Mount and possibly at its Audi to a search. Sorry you had so much difficulty.
