Wheel question: will e30 17 inch rims from 97 a4 fit?

5x112 is the bolt circle, ET30 is the offset. Is it a 7" wide rim?
Likely so, for an A4.
On the A8, the parts catalog has a 16x7 ET42. Not sure if an ET30 will work.
I'm using an A6 wineglass wheel as a spare, but it's 16x7 ET45, so much closer to the A8 size above.
I really doubt the ET30 will fit.

And you probably don't want to have a 7" wide wheel on the A8
It's a heavy car. The stock 16" wheel (which was cast) was 7.5" wide, all other 17" wheels were 8" wide. Personally, I would skip.

Might be an OK width for a snow, but yeah, agreed.
And I'll let you Northerners cover the snow end. A snow tire around here is a good all-season.
And again, I really wonder if what he's looking at would fit, given the offset.
For my spare, it's a damn sight better than the space-saver (given that I have an appropriate offset 16x7).
