Default Control Arm recall/suspension-comment and question

I just completed the control arm recall replacement and it was the most pleasant dealer experience I've had- no money out of my pocket and no attempts to sell additional services (Leith Audi, Cary, NC). I would like feedback from those who have the H&R coilover versus an Eibach Springs/Bilstein combo. I am undecided as to which is the best route to take. Thanks for any input.

Default I love my H&Rs, but I've never driven an A8 with the Eibach/Bilstein setup.....

So I can't provide any comparison.

Default depends on what you are looking for...

Are you tracking the car? If so then spring over. I run the eibach springs on stock shocks.. Yes I want to change those out. But I have other priorities to spend my money on at the moment. the car handles great ride is good. Alittle more bounce (stiff sharp bounce) in the backseats. Not because the shocks are shot but just faster reaction to the road bumps. tighter spring rate I am sure. It drop the car a 1 to 1.5 inches. I can still fit 18x9 wheels with 275/40 tires. I just fitted them on last week for a test fit before spending lots of money on new tires. I do not track the car but I do have fun opening it up in turns etc.. To me it is a nice ride and good performace. The coil overs will be much more stiff.

So did they replace any control arms? If so, how many? Did they align the car?

I have. It's about halfway between our setup, and stock.

The official line is that it is not required due to being fixed points unlike tie rods ends, etc.
