Default May be somewhat self-evident, but question about Defcon and MK1 control arms and adjustable shocks..

I've always wanted to run full firm on my Konis, but every time I do, the car suffers handling. Everything seems to exhibit "pushing" characteristics and steering wheel feels very vague and numb when the shocks are on full firm. Sure, ultimately a compression and rebound coilover like the KW3 would eliminate this handling behavior, but "will" the Defcons or MK1 control arms act friendlier in unison with full firm settings on the car? Take into consideration that my car is FWD, so naturally that push is already there. I'm certainly in for a real world of change for handling when the MK1 arms go on, but I want to quantify this from time to time with a different adjustment on the Koni's.

Default At FULL stiff you're just not getting enough compliance in the front end and hurting it's grip

Defcon is not going to change this. you will feel those front tires break away more acurately but they're not going to do so any later. you may like how it feels in the middle of your setting up front and how quick the front end will feel with the defcons. i'd keep the rears at full stiff though. after that, you can play around with tire pressure to dial it further in to your liking.

(Patient): Doc, it hurts when I do this. (Doc): Don't do that.

Default Full stiff on the back..I remember how good and bouncy that was...but...

I do remember that the car drove the very best it ever has through the turns and the front tires really gripped. It was really dialed in correctly insofar as elimintating nasty understeer, albeit the rear of the car bouncing because of limited weight back there was just too much to handle. I have not tried to adjust the rears to the middle setting yet. That may be optimal when I get the MK1 arms in.
