Is an alignment needed after a CV joint replacement?

If they remove the halfshaft, then yes, an alignment is in order......
My experiecce is that in order to remove the half shaft, the lower control arm needs to be removed. Getting everything back exactly where it came from is unlikely, but not impossible. If they are just replacing the CV boot, then no, an alignmnet is not required.
