Rear Shade
I know a few of you have mentioned problems (eg. electrical gremlins) regarding the rear shade.
Mine stopped working once before but then came back to life magically. This week it stopped again, and didn't return (w/ encouragement) so I asked my dealer to take a look.
They're telling me $850 for a whole new motor and assembly (1999 A8)...!
Thoughts?

I never fixed mine, but it should be easy fix. Mine sometimes does not work summertime. I think it is simple lubrication problem, because if I hit it it opens.

Fortunately mine is stuck up...
...wait, that sounds like my car has a bad attitude. You know what I mean. ;-)
I prefer it up than down (Florida) but there's no way I'm paying $800 for a new "motor", I'll have to play w/ it myself.
Gremlins are starting to get to me.
