Knock sensor
Having STF on knock sensor topics, is there an understanding of the meaning if one cylinder displays consistantly higher voltage values than the other cyclinders on the same bank?
The service book suggest "Engine mechanical damage" or "loose hardware". What could that be?
Cylinder 7 has logged consistantly greater excursion amplitudes during a recorded drive cycle.
The event timing and sign are consistant with the the bank of cyclinders, just multiply the change by 1.5 or >2.
This is recorded in
engine group 16 display blocks 1,2,(3),4

I'm just guessing here...
But if the software will actually (claim to)isolate the knocking cyl, pull the plug and compare it very carefully with the adjacent plugs. One cyl can develop a hot spot, carbon deposit, have a very slightly slightly higher compression or have a lean injector.
