tranny help

hey i am planning on doing a tranny fluid change and had couple of wuestions. i went to audipages and emailed the lady about the gaskets and other stuff but never recieved a mail, so what other dependable place i can buy it can i buy it from blauparts and i was wondering about the fluid i know its 7 liters right and do i just tell my mechanic to do a completed fluid change is that right. he works on german cars and did my belt and other stuff. so if anyone has suggestions please post. thanks

Blau have all the right stuff you need for a job

Just a fluid change will be less than 7 liters, my only took 4-5 liters, there is some fluid in a TC as well. I would probably still buy at least 6 liters. Even if you have left overs you can use it during next oil change. Procedure is pretty straight forward, your mechanic should be familiar with it.

Make sure Blau sends you the right filter, they didn't me! ...

Make sure your mechanic just dosen't put in what you give him. The one Blau sent me had about 3/4 shorter pick up. That could make clavatoin of the pump way more likely and be very expensive tranny fix down the line. I lost my HD in my laptop and dont have the pic anymore, there was a difference!

just ordered the parts(filter, gasket and rings) should be here thur. i was wondering is it best to do a full 7 liter change or just what ever is in the pan(4 liters) i am leaning towards the full 7 liter change. oh and how long would it take to change all taht like 2 hours? Thanks for the replys.

well on the site the option is A8Q w/5spd DPZ, DSM, DTE auto trans code (97-99) so i am pretty much safe i believe. i told him the year and model and he said the same thing the website posts on the page

I told them all that too, still sent me the wrong thing. Dont be so .....

Dont be so sure the guy stocking the shelves or pulling your order gives a rat **** about your baby.
I have another story about blau too. Doing my timming belt, got evey thing off and cleaned up. Buddy helping me starts to try and put on the new water pump, he cant figure out how its supose to line up. Nope it wont fit! They sent the wrong water pump too.
Car ripped apart in the In-Laws garage for several days, 1500 miles from home on a business trip, that was fun. That was a Saturday late afternoon. They did next day the right wp on Monday. So I had a few days to forget how everything went back together.
