Default OK... I want a TT; some questions:

I took a long test drive in a demo TT w/ the performance package (xenons, 17-inch wheels, etc.) and fell immediately in love with it. This car had nearly 3,500 miles on it (it was a journalist test vehicle and had probably been thrashed completely by a series of auto writers) so the engine was fairly well broken in. I was impressed by the acceleration and cornering characteristics (managed to chirp the front tires accelerating hard out of a turn with the ASR turned off) to say nothing of the overall concept and design. The 225-bhp version will be scary.
So, I'm thinking seriously of making this my next car, but will probably opt for the quattro version. I've got three years left on the loan note for my 98.5 A4 Avant qMS, so I'm probably looking at making the purchase circa 2001-2.
Anyone have info regarding the anticipated pricing of the quattro and 225-bhp versions of the TT? I would imagine the quattro would add about $1,700 to the base on the FWD version. Also, what's the scoop on roadster pricing?
And here's a silly question. One of my friends was looking at the gas lid and offered that anyone with the approriate hex wrench could unbolt and walk away with it. Is this possible?
As a final aside, I love the Boxster more, but not $10,000 more. %^)
J.Russ
98.5 pelican blue avant qMS

Well, since I don't personally sell them, I can't really speculate on roadster or 225hp prices, but I would imagine that the Quattro option will be $1650 like all the others.
As far as the gas lid goes, you have to know which of the allen screws to take out-only three of them are actual fasteners.
Jason Dale
Audi Technician
Ken Garff Motors
Provo, UT
