quattro + new colors

Had my 5000 mile service yesterday.Dealer (Danbury Audi) told me his first quattro is expected in September and will be some shade of red !!!

I'm hoping your right .......I speced my 225Q for delivery next year in Amulet Red, but nobody seems to know what colors will be offered next year for the 225Q.Does anybody have any ideas??????ThanksDave

I just ordered a November delivery 180Q on Friday. The dealer said they'd be happy to take my order on an Amulet Red version, but felt I stood a good chance of getting bumped back in the production queue for my November delivery if I did. In short, they wouldn't guarantee delivery dates on anything but the 3 initial colors this year.The dealer also showed me a memorandum from Audi (to dealers) stating the same thing...so I'm reasonably sure it wasn't just "Dealer Speak". Take that for what it's worth.So, in my case, Silver over Black (in exchange for a firm delivery date) will just have to due. I'll be a total nut case by the end of November if I don't have my new TT by then...Scott campbell@carfanatic.com

I have a Desert Green 180Q on order which is scheduled to be built Week 28 (next week) and dealer says mid-August delivery. I was not told the three original colors would be preferable or "faster", but then again, the dealers seem to be mostly clueless. If you really want the red, insist your dealer call Audi of America for you, or you can email them and get an answer the next day. That's what I did. Good luck.
