Default LarryTT! Question for 'ya please!

Forgive me if you've already answered this a thousand times (I notice people really get upset if a question is posted more than once), anyhow...would you please give me the details on the aftermarket audio system you installed, from the head unit to the amp, changer and speakers. Can you still close the "radio lid" with your new head unit? I ordered my 225Q without the Bose and am so happy I did so. Any problems with the wiring harness, etc. Thanks for your advice!

Default My stereo was installed this past week and I got it on friday

I am in the process of putting together a web site and will post the URL when it is complete, but for now:

Head Unit: Kenwood KDC-X911
CD Changer: Kenwood KDC-CX82
Amp: Xtant 603x
Boston Acoustics Pro 6.5 front sperates
Boston Acoustics Pro 8.5LF Subwoofers (2)

The radio door STILL closes! I insisted on that. There were no electrical problems encountered at all. The entire car was ripped apart. The entire interior was removed for the install.

I am hoping to have a very crude site up by tomorrow afternoon, or maybe even tonight.

Default LarryTT! You've made me faint!

Hey! Thank you so much for the detailed info, however, I had to sit down when you told me "the entire car was ripped apart" "the entire interior was removed for the install" What an education for me; in after thought, I guess there's no other way to install it properly. So, I just gotta ask you...with such an elaborate sound system with the labor to install it, how much over the $1200 did you spend? Did all the interior snap back together good as new? Please definitely reply. How did you find so much trust in an audio technician to tear apart your Baby?

Default I had the utmost confidance in the installer . . .

The installer has won national competitions and is very well regarded in the car stereo field. I just happened to luck into him.

I went $3100 OVER the $1200, now add those two numbers together and you will know the tally!

It is WELL worth the expense. You will agree once I have the pics posted.

Thanksa for your interest.

Default Re: Oh roof rack, oh roof racks, where are our roof racks, ALREADY!

The roof racks are available in the U.S. from Auto-Roof Racks, Inc. They can be found at www.rola-usa.com or (562) 776-8664.

I have pictures that I got from them.

e-mail me and I will forward them to you.

I posted them here somewhere, but I don't know where they post to.
