Early morning TTQ adventures. God, this car is sooooo pretty!
One of the amazing things about CT's Merritt parkway is how different the traffic is before 7am. What a fluid drive! And, happily, I am again driving a car that I don't need to brake before tackling an exit ramp.
I looped into Starbucks (at about 40mph), still half in disbelief that the CD player actually wasn't whining. (The fog lights actually work again, too). A middle aged man was --not even discretely -- leering at the car from a shiny F150 idling at the curb.
Coming out, bagel and grande hazelnut in hand, I had the opportunity to approach the car from teh rear 3/4 angle (my favoite, because you can easily see the symmetry between the curves at the front, the roof, and the curves at the rear. God, I love denim blue.
It's really sad that I find this car's powertrain so dissappointing and eletrical systems so unreliable. With reliable electronics, an exhaust note that isn't so flat, and a set of real cams (hey, fuel economy couldn't possible get any worse, could it?), I really believe this would be a perfect car.
We'll see how it behaves over the next few weeks. Maybe it'll be worth holding on to after all....
Okay... Off to prepare my notes. Have a good day, everyone!
