I've read here the TT custom cover is a good one. ($225). See your dealer.

Default I have the Audi TT cover from the dealer . . .

i bought it slightly used and LOVE it! It fits nice and snug and so far has not scratched the paint. All it does is leave a powder residue on the car after being on the car, not a big deal. I make sure the car is thoroughly cleaned before putting the cover on the car so as not to have any dirt scratch the paint any more than it already is!

I have noticed one thing that is disturbing me about the cover though. In a few spots the underside material is beginning to peel off. I am going to bring it back to a dealer and see if they will replace it.

You can get the factory cover either from a dealer or from Clair Parts. I think Clair is $25 cheaper.<p><a href="http://registry.audiworld.com/audi/registry/details.asp?car=3285"><img SRC="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/ttsig.jpg" BORDER=0 alt="Click for Mods"></a>

I have the OEM car cover, but paid only $200 from the dealer; ask for a good price.

Default Re: I have the OEM car cover, but paid only $200 from the dealer; ask for a good price.

I have to chime in. I have a car cover on both of my Porsche's, and the ones I purchased are from Performance Products (www.performanceproducts.com)

They were about $200 a pop, but I've had nothing but good luck with them. It is so good, that my 944 actually seems to come out of the cover cleaner than when it went under (illusion I assume!). At any rate, I checked, and the 911 cover should fit on the TT, judging by measurements (if you get the cover for a 911 with a tail, there's two different covers for 911's). I plan on just picking up another one of those. Keeps the car clean, real heavy duty, comes with a bag, and its waterproof (*really* is too! No water gets through, even after a good hard rain).

And no, I am not affiliated with Perf. Prods. I just find their equipment very high quality (albeit sometimes quite expensive), but you get what you pay for IMHO. That's why I don't get engine stuff from tweeks (tweeks.com).

Cheers,<p>Chris Lawrence
