turning off the 'service!' message
The TT went in for service today and they didn't turn off the annoying 'service!' display which you get when you put the key in. To save me having to take it all the way back there, is there a way to turn that off?
Note the service wasn't great, they were told that the Divertor Valve had been playing up since I got the car a year ago and would they please replace it and the handbrake was getting looser, would they please take up the slack in the cable.
They "couldn't find a problem with the DV" and wouldn't take our word for it. They of course wanted to keep the car so someone could test drive it overnight (yeah, right) so that was a bust. And the handbrake is just as loose as it was before. Oh and of course we had to wait over a month for this service appointment.
So - "service!" light, one of you guys knows the magic combo to turn it off.
Thanks
Roland
PS if this is a common question - sorry - but the search on the site is down so I can't hunt for it.
anyway - I found the procedure (ignition on with trip-counter button pressed, release, turn clock button clockwise or anticlockwise) and it doesn't work at all.
I found it here

Anyone have another procedure?
