Anyone recommend a good dealer to get TT serviced in SoCal? Commonwealth Audi Sucks.
I didn't buy my car at Commonwealth Audi in Santa Ana, but since it's the closest dealer to my house, I have taken my TT there for service and warranty work. Richard, one of the service specialists (or whatever you call it), is an idiot and I'd like to go somewhere else to get my car serviced. Whenever I take my car in, he's always the guy who "helps" me.
Here are the reasons why I don't like going to Commonwealth Audi, and why I don't like this guy in particular....
1. It was a huge hassle for me to get him to get me a loaner/rental when my gas gauge was defective and always read "Empty". His recommendation was to fill the tank and use to tripometer to gauage my gas level. I thought this was ridiculous because I had just paid 40K for this car and it was only a month old.
2. When I asked him about the TT coming with synthetic oil, he insisted that it's not true. I remember you guys saying that the TT comes with synthetic. Am I wrong?
3. When I asked him to see if my turbo was boosting properly, he said, "Your turbo is working. If it wasn't, your car couldn't reach 4000 RPMs like it does because the engine is so weak". Correct me if I'm wrong but then engine could redline without the turbo right?]
4. I asked him to look into a rattle on the instrument panel and after waiting for 2 hours and getting the car back, I noticed on the work paper that they wrote, "No rattle found". I was waiting in the wait room and I think they could've told me that they were unable to find the rattle. Unhappily, I just drove home with the rattle noise obvious as ever.
5. Asked him to swap out the DV and he said they would with the 5K. After I went to pick up the car, I found out that they didn't.
* There's another Audi service guy at Commonwealth that I like but he's almost never there when I take my car in...
So where do other SoCal TT'ers (preferably in OC) take their cars to? I'm going to try out Audi of Downtown this weekend because it's close to my work. Thanks!
