Default Driver Information System Question

I am aware of the concept of RTFM, however quickly scanning it on arrival at work, I could not find the answer. I filled up my machine for the first time, and on starting up the car icon was displayed with a flashing rear. At first I thought the fuel cover was not on properly, but on hitting reset on the computer it went away. Is it simply telling you to reset the computer - not obvious with the display as described? I quickly looked at the photos of the various displays, but could not find that situation depicted. Thanks

Default Re: Trunk open

Sure in the hell makes sense - almost too obvious. I did not open my trunk, so I never even thought of that as a possibility. Will the display reset a fault like an open trunk by pressing the reset button without actually closing the trunk? That is what it did. Thanks

I couldn't resist so I went out and checked the car. The trunk was in fact open. I guess the system allows resets of faults on the computer without correcting the item. BTW, this is the first car I have had in years with an accurate fuel gauge - I love it!

Default I'd guess yes in the event you ever wanted to drive with the trunk open...

and didn't want the flashing signal.

Most warning systems for non-engine or non-driveline things are resettable on most cars.

Have coupe, can't check trunk for you.

I have popped the trunk a few times when re-fueling. (pressed wrong button-brain cramp I guess)
