Default Best Paint protection?

Thinking of getting Armorfend but I'd have to drive 700 (round trip) to get it installed up in NorCal.

Anyone else got better(closer) suggestion for SoCal (LA)

Thanks

Default Any of the clear film protectors are good...

but some are more complete or easier to install. I have StonGard on my TT (NorCal) and the protection is excellent. StonGard requires a really good installer, however, due to stretching the film to fit the car's curves. I'm sure that one of the clear bra companies has an installer in SoCal. Try StonGard, InvinciShield, Clear Bra, Xpel... there are more, but I can't remember the others.

Default Whole hood!

I am thinking of getting the entire hood covered on top of the other parts (mirrors, front bumper, etc). Any thoughts on this? Should keep from ANY lines on the hood and since stonguard stretches, they should be able to install it easily over the entire hood.

Thoughts?

Default If I were doing the hood, I would do the whole thing. The only chips I have are above where the...

kits normally stop.

Default I too have a chip dead center of the hood, well past the kit. Downsides...

to doing whole hood is orange peel texture of the film (looks ok, but not as smooth as paint) and also that the film is plastic and can scratch easily. Shows swirls easily, but if you have a light color you won't notice as much. Zaino Z-5 helps the swirls somewhat.
