800 miles and concerns
1. sometimes going form 3rd to 4th it seems that the shifter sticks.
2. Very noticable lag (dv?)
3. engine is ticking I thought it would be smoother (not pinging)
4. The computer display during the day is really dim
Are 4,3, and 1 common should i take it to the dealer?
I have an A4 turbo and the engine doesnt sound like this..
Thanks for your help in advance
john
2. Possibly....do you have a 180 or a 225? I think the 180 displays more of this lag symptom. There is a turbo lag on both however and the Bailey and Forge valves seem to eliminate some of this making launches and punches smoother.
3. Probably the A/C as Colin said. Try turning it off to check.
4. There is a lot more ambient light during the day and the display luminence looks much dimmer relative to the daylight as opposed to the darkness of night. Not a problem, unless there is NO light.
Drive it and enjoy it. John! :-)
2. Typically a larger turbo will cause more lag than a smaller one. The 225 has the larger turbo therefore exhibits more lag off the line.
3. No Comment
4. Do you have your lights on? I'm not sure if this is the case but in most cars when you turn the lights on the car thinks it is nice and dims the interior somewhat. I've never noticed if the TT has this 'feature.'
the shifter is notchy from 3-4 sometimes, but its seems to want to stay in third....
I prolly should get the DV anyway...
I'll try it without the ac on
thanks
Js
