Keyes Audi - First Service (Part 1)
Well, I have the sticky gas gauge. So, I call Keyes and they say bring it on in so they can get the code off the cluster. Seems like they know what they are doing, cool.
They get the code, a painless 10 minute trip to my friendly dealer <G>.
I get a card in the mail 3 days later that the part is in. I call, schedule an appointment for 2 weeks later (for my convienance).
Today I take the car in. They are all set with the new cluster. I give them a printout of a VAG/COM code that Howard gave me (the service guy's reply: "What is this?"). They take the car and 10 minutes later I am in their shuttle arriving at work.
About an hour later I get a call from them. They want to know if I can bring all my keys in (they just realized that due to the immobilizer they need to recode all the keys). I say (in a much nicer way) "Hell No". So, now I am rescheduled for Monday.
Wouldn't you think they would know about this? <G>
