Quick summary of LI auto-x today....

Well it was me, Art and John (McEngineer) and Larry, Mike and Vishal all bailed (Larry has good reasons, Mike has none and Vishal and Kim hung out for most of the day) Well big Audi presence once again with many A4s, and S4s as well. Oh there was a silver 180 FWD roadster who we didn't know. Anyway, Art placed 5th in the pro class but it was very, very close. First through 5th was only tenths apart. Art finished with a 39.xx but later ran some unofficial 38.xxxs. I ran in the novice class with 30 something other drivers and took 5th on PAX. I had the fastest raw time of 40.9. This time would have placed me 2nd in A stock and 3rd in Street Mod. Can't seem to beat the A4 with the 3rd stage APR kit. If you're lurking your just too fast!! and his buddy in another silver A4 took 2nd. And I'm still running on street tires. Can't wait till I get the victoracers!!!!! Doug

Thanks to Kim and John for their encouragement, especially after a very disheartening...

...5th place finish. The Pro class today was *extremely* well driven, and having 5 drivers finish that close to each other at a local event is very unusual. Unfortunately, I had to be the last of the five, but them's the breaks. :-(

Doug really dropped the hammer on his last run, pulling a 40.9 out of thin air. That was an incredible time considering that he was on street tires.....
