Replacement stereo??
Has anyone ripped out the "premium" Bose set-up, and put in a real one? I am sick of this thing, and sick of not having an in dash CD player. Any suggestions on a unit that will fit and perform? Thanks, and "Hi" to the old gang!

Hey there...yep, I did it, Eclipse 5303R head unit, Xtant amp, Diamond Hex series speakers and
Eclipse 508s 8-disc changer. The faceplate of the head unit flips down to reveal the in-dash CD but it doesn't interfere with the cover. If you're hoping that the after-market unit will get rid of the Morse code noise, it doesn't.

I must be lucky. No Morse code here. Does the dash have cassette as well? (more)
Or do you get one or the other? I need cassette player for my Dead tapes...unless I burn 'em to CD. Hmmmm...
