I just bought a 99 A4 2.8 and it doesn't have a CD player, what is the best way to add a CD player (prefer in dash) while keeping the red glow look. I though about maybe getting a stereo out of a 2000 A4 that has in dash CD, how much would that cost?

Not worth it to get one out of a 2000 for the same price of having an aftermarket one that is better.. Look around at crutchfield.com, they have a huge assortment of HU's..

Why not just put a 6cd changer in the trunk and keep the stock Concert headunit?

You'll need the symphony HU, the inner mounting brackets and the HVAC unit since they are different between 1999 and 2K, You may also need the center console if you have a pre-1999.5.

You may be able to fit it otherwise but it would have to be all custom,

Some people have tried using the single concert CD from the Audi TT.

From what I've read here though you may still have wiring issues.

This is also assuming that you do not have the BOSE system. If you do then it adds to the cost since the BOSE amps will only work with the BOSE HU.
