Good news - fixed my mystery noise tonite.

I had put the nut for the bolt for the stabilizing arm that runs from the strut to the control arm on crooked so depite it being on tight, there was still play. As a result the damn thing had enough play to bounce around and make annoying ping sounds. All better.
