Your experience with a rattle is needed
I've got about 3500 mile on a 225Q coupe and am starting to here more and more of a on and off annoying rattle that appears to be somewhere behind the passanger seat maybe uphigh at head level. I have seen several people talk about rattles on the forum and some have mentioned them in this location.
Has anyone found a specific problem area or a fix for this. I know if I tell the dealer they will just say they can't find it. Thanks for any input.

begin by removing the rear privacy shelf from the hatch . . .
then if that is not it, look at both of the headrests in the front seats. They can be easily removed and look at the plastic disks surrounding each opening, I had one replaced when it broke.
Do you think the rattle has anything to do with engine or car speed? Do road conditions play any part in this? It could also be a heat shield and or the exhaust itself. The dealer would check on these two items for you if you don't have a means to check them yourself.

Door?
I just fixed an annoying rattle in my roadster.
I don't know if the coupe doors are the same but the roadster door has a wedge of black plastic which sticks out from the door under the latch. As the car flexed/accelerated... there would be a rattle which sounded like it was coming from above and behind the passenger seat. I put some thick plastic tape on the wedge to tighten the fit and the rattle has gone away.
