Default Advice, please, on buying a used TT....

I'm officially in the market for a used TT. I'll be selling both my Miata and Honda to get me into the low to mid 30K price range.
I would also like to equip the car to drive year-round in Michigan.
Any advice would be appreciated!!

Thanks....Ken J.

Default Mid-30K, you're getting awfully close to a new one. Of course then you

would have to buy snow tires/wheels. That's really the only additional equipment you would need. There have been some interesting sales on eBay. Good luck.

Default Try Auto Trader.com. Lots of used TT's. I bought mine used...

& I'm happy with it so far. You might want to check Edmund's out to get a idea of what the value of the car actually is.I also used Carfax to research the car.Feel free to email me if you have any other questions.

Default depends on what you're looking for...

and where in the country you are. In SoCal, for a '00 coupe, you can find them for under $30K (I've seen them as low as $25K w/higher miles). For a used '01 Coupe, you're looking at the low $30's, although some people are asking ridiculous amounts. My local dealer has a '01 coupe w/4K miles asking $34,995...and that's with the extended warranty.

I also have a broker/dealer friend that buys cars at the private auctions (just like a lot of the dealers do). He is very careful about buying cars that haven't been frame damaged (unlike many dealers), and can get you a good price. Email me if you want more info...

Default Re: Be sure to check the service records. Most TT are trouble free but a small %

have been outright lemons. I'd get the Quattro
