Default Need Advice on TT purchase

Well im selling my S4 this weekend. Ill probalby get around $26 for it. I enjoyed it but its just a fast car, which isnt what I want, i want to enjoy driving (its a TIP). My old car was a 95' M3, so as you can tell maint isnt a major concern, but I would like to improve.

The average low-mileage '01/'02 TT has about 50k miles on it. Do you TT owners recomend the TT as an enthusiast car? I was looking at the BMW Z4, but I like the rear seats of the TT, plus the AWD, and my experiance with the S4 was nice. Plus after selling my S4 ill have a few grand to throw into the TT and have some $ leftover (im in college)

Default You should be able to pick up an '02..>>

for $20K ish. An '01 for $16-17K. That should leave you plenty of money for mods. Buy the newest, lowest mileage car you can find that meets your budget. Audi CPO cars will generally have warranty coverage to 100K, but you'll need to buy from a dealer (a $2-3K premium) or an individual with a transferrable one. there are a Zillion cars on the market...Start looking at what's available..It's pretty much a buyers market out there..Heck I may even sell mine for well within your budget..

Default when i was in college, i was lucky enough to have a 1300 VW.

times have changed...an S4 is a very nice ride to have in college...let alone, a TT.

if i were to get a TT...i would go for a 2002 0r 2003...if the mileage is close to 50K, make sure the timing belt has been done, otherwise, you will have to do it before 60K.

Default Suggest research availability and prices on eBay, Edmunds (search for used) and dealer .....

inventory searches; this is what I am doing as I look for a '03-'04 TT Roadster. Also check Luxury Motors if in Chicago area - they seem to have exceptionally good prices.

LuxMot

Default I own a '02 S4 tip and a '01 225TT the TT is so fun to drive w/ just a chip & coilovers

I think you will find everything you're looking for in the TT... it's not as fast as the S4 unless you do a little tweaking to the TT.
