Has anyone experienced this.....

For the last week or so, when I start my TT in the morning (first time of the day) the engine will "race" for about 1 or 2 seconds and then come down to a normal idle.

It sounds rather harsh and raspy when it does this, but then settles down into a normal idle and sounds great.

When it did this today the tach stuck at zero and I couldn't read the rpm's, but it is usually around 1700 or so before settling back down to a normal mark.

The tach sticking is a whole new experience, first time I've seen that.

My tach sticks periodically ... alas I could never duplicate for the dealer.

The high rev thing though ... no clue.

Mine's been sticking periodically for over a year. Usually pops to life after 2 seconds or so

sticking and erratic reading is probably the instrument cluster.....
